Over the years I've got used to sending in the meter readings via the internet every month. I've just checked the web page that tells you what your an usage is compared to the previous year. Understandably given the long cold Spring, it says we used circa 2% more gas, but strangely it says we used nearly 10% less electricity. That seems a thumping great reduction and is even odder as we reverted back to old style light bulbs from the so called energy saving ones.
Overall our energy use was 2% down over the 12 months.
