It's arrived :-)

We had ordered our 430 GT mid September from Lowdhams in Huddersfield with an expected delivery date of March. To our surprise we received a call on Wednesday to advise it had been delivered and could we check it today.

We were pleased to see the specification was exactly as ordered. We had expected the water tank under the front seat, although the gas and electric boiler was located there with the water tank and battery fitted under the rear fixed bed. The Ultraheat controls are fixed to the side of the wardrobe. We are not quite sure how the external water pump works as this is fitted on the wall outside the toilet and not next to the water tank filler point. The dealer wasn't sure either so we will find out at handover.

Only slight issue was the gas locker, lock broke when they tried to open it so this needs to be fixed at the PDI. We have also asked for an external socket to be fitted, which will be useful for the awning lighting. If all goes to plan we can collect next Saturday.

As we don't have any caravan accessories we also managed to get them all from Lowdhams with them matching online prices on the high value items such as wheel lock (Nemesis Ultra), Hitchcock (Alko Premium) and silver aqua roll & wastemaster. Also got a good deal on the sabre link lights for our yet to arrive Kampa Pop Air awning,

Insurance has been arranged so all we need to do now is arrange suitable breakdown cover, which I think we will get Mayday, as more comprehensive than our standard car breakdown and we are ready to collect. We have also got Cassoa storage arranged and fortunately even got a space undercover.

Can't wait for our first outing which we are planning in February time, as long as there is no snow. Also we of course need to think of a name for it.

I'm wondering if Lowdhams in Nottingham have had their delivery. I ordered our 430 from them in June.
I am guessing UK deliveries have started.
Looks like Becks in Norfolk may also had had a delivery in recently as they are showing one more eriba than before X-mas.

Hi Colin

I think Nottingham may have had their delivery as she said a few had been brought up from there this week. In total 10 had been delivered to Huddersfield.

I would have thought you would have received yours before ours based on the order date being 3 months before we ordered.

Thanks Jamie, I will give them a call tomorrow. I am really interested to see if I have the elusive bolstered front seating that I ordered.

Congratulations.

As for naming, the 6th January(your purchase date) is 'epiphany' and how would that be for a good name ?

I'm sure most will know the christian context of the word but nowadays the word is
regularly used to mean :

epiphany

'a moment of sudden and great revelation or realization.'

Very apt I thought for your new ventures in a new Eriba.
