potential motor mover problems

Hi all,
I'm a new member and owner of a 2005 430GT. I am considering fitting a Reich mover to the van but am told that the chassis will need drilling to fit it. Those of you who have fitted movers might be kind enough to give advice in this area. How much drilling is required? Does it weaken the chassis? Battery size ah (mainly use EHU) and alternative manufacturers. Thanks

Hi and

I had a reich-mover fitted to my 2006 triton 430 last year, can't comment on how much drilling was done as I was not there when it was fitted I can't imagine they would fit them if it was likely to damage the chassis.

See this topic for what is fitted

It was fitted here

I have had a Reich motor mover added to two new Eribas by Hymer Eriba dealerships, it involves drilling the chassis and adding specially made brackets. Don't worry it doesn't weaken the chassis, if it did they wouldn't have been able to fit them as it would have invalidated the warranty.

When I go on holiday I like to pop my top!

We had the Reich mover fitted by Midland Motor Movers to our 2001 Triton 430 GT. Great job, works well.
