WRT awning thefts - my guess is that you're on your own. It's the equivalent of leaving the front door wide open as it cannot possibly be secured.

Somehow the thought of some gloating tea-leaf with a swag-sack full of plastic storage boxes and saucepans tip-toeing around a site springs to mind.........more caffeine vicar????

I think that with larger sites that are gated and only allow access to club members - whatever flavour - then you're probably limited to folks just wandering in and looking for small stuff they can pocket and walk out.

We were on a CC approved site just north of Reims, they did another one at the same time and came back two nights later and did two more.
