Oxford ...places to stay ?

We're in the CC and have stopped at Oxford many years ago but we thought we might also look for an independent site.

Anyone have a recommendation for us to consider ?....it's for two nights on our way down to the Poole Meet.

Thank you

Anne and Ian

The C & CC site (I know it's not independent) is quite good. The advantage is that it's right by the park and ride for the city centre.

A friend of mine has told me about a site just off A34 I will ask him the name and get back to you

Hi.
Bridge villa campsite, Wallingford, oxford.
We stayed there last June for 5 days.
privately family owned for years. A busy site (apparently few campsites around oxford.), but a very friendly vibe to it. shower facilities spotless.
Just a short walk over the bridge into Wallingford with plenty of shops and restaurants/pubs.
would definitely stay there again.

Thanks for the replies and particular thanks Andy for the Wallingford tip.
We have booked there for two nights. We were really pleased as many years ago I worked in Wallingford as a student.

Cheers Ian and Anne

the entrance to the campsite and signage is not that easy to spot. go slow on arrival as if you miss the entrance, you will be going over the bridge into wallingford
