12v Automatic Cutoff

Hi, looking for some more help please. Our Troll has a switch that we need to press to engage the battery before the lights etc work whilst on 12v. Sitting in the van the other night and the lights went off after about 15 minutes, pressed the button and they went on again for about the same duration. Thinking this isn't going to be much use if we need to get up in the middle of the night without electric hookup. Any idea how this works? Thanks

Is your 12V electric system provided by the Schaudt CSV409A charger and distribution unit?

If so, the switch energises a latching relay in the unit and this could trip off if the leisure battery is low.

If the leisure battery is good and the charger is working correctly then the unit may be faulty.

You'll need to carry out a few checks to confirm the above.

Worked it out. Hubby had changed the bulbs to LEDs which meant that they weren't drawing enough power so battery was cutting out after 15 minutes.

I didn't think of that but glad to hear it's now sorted.
