Not to be confused with typical Sunday supplement cheap folding bikes, these US designed, Korean manufactured folding bikes are extremely high quality, versatile commuter/runarounds that have won numerous awards worldwide.

We bought these bikes because they could be folded and carried in their bags inside the caravan as we didn't have storage room in our convertible tow car. They have been used mainly during our caravanning tours in France particularly on canal towpaths and riverside cycle routes but they are now surplus to requirements and therefore are being offered for sale.

The D7 makes extensive use of alloy for the frame, seat and handlebar posts, handlebars, cranks and wheels and is therefore lightweight and easy to ride. The wheels are 20" diameter and there are seven derailleur gears. The rear racks have elastic luggage straps and it's surprising just how much can be carried on them.

They are easy to fold and can be packed away in bags to protect them during transit (the bags we bought turned out to be pretty flimsy but more durable alternatives are available quite cheaply from Amazon.) The picture shows one of the bags when it was new.

The tyres and brake blocks are good for hundreds of miles and everything works as it should. One bike is equipped with a cycling computer and a miniature pump that clips to a bracket attached to the frame. The inner tube valves are Schrader type (the same as on your car tyres) and the gel saddles are very comfortable to ride. One new inner tube sealed in manufacturer's packaging included.

I am asking £400 for the pair which, considering how little use they have had, represents a real bargain.

The bikes are located in Christchurch, Dorset (5 minutes from C&C New Forest Centennial site) and are available for collection only. PM me if you are interested.
