Saw my pal yesterday. After having been mucked about for months by a guy who was desperate to buy his Eribacar, the chap suddenly announced he had bought something else so is still for sale if anyone is interested...

15 months to sell a van, gracious!

In truth, he hasn't been 'aggressive' about it. He's in Bristol, the guy that mucked him about was in Scotland. That deal just ambled on till the other chap said. 'Oh, I've bought something else' rather leaving my pal dangling...

I was intrigued as I'd just browsed this web page http://www.rtmr.org/eriba.html and it talks of two model Eriba Cars, a 530 and a 580 and they both have nearside washroom as standard. From the pic you posted your friend's van has a nearside kitchen (see fridge vents) and no bench toilet locker door on the nearside. It presumably means the layouts and history of Car's is a lot more complicated than the Trafic website implies.

I fancy an Eriba Style partly because they look so good in an art deco sort of way but also because they have cab aircon, which the older 'Car's' won't have. But whilst there seems to have been much publicity at launch, they don't seem to have sold many in the UK. They appear rarer than a Troll 554 or Pontos.

For Sale: Eriba-car 530 camper van based on a 1989 Renault Trafic 2.5 litre diesel chassis. Interior similar to Eriba caravans of the period excepting that a previous owner has fitted a Thetford cassette toilet. The principal equipment of two burner cooker with a grill, refrigerator and space heater all in good working order. The leisure battery charging system has been updated to modern specification so that 12v supply to the refrigerator only comes on when the engine is running so that you cannot inadvertently flatten the leisure battery. Interior lighting is 230 v and/or 12v led. A tow bar is fitted. Offers based on £5,000.
