A quick question for any Puck L owners, are the 2 long seats wide enough to be used as single beds or does the bed have to be made Up? Thank you. Ellen

We had a PuckL originally and did try sleeping on the benches with the backs removed to make them wider. In all honestly they aren't wide enough unless you are a very tiny person.

I remember you kindly letting me have a nosey in your Puck L at one of the meets, it was a lovely Eriba. Thank you for your reply. Last year we decided to part with our beloved Doo-Dah, mainly due to illness. Some of my health problems have been put right and i just live in hope that one day we will have another Eriba in our life. Our Familia had a fixed bed and although as comfy as heck climbing over Mark in the night was not that easy so if we do get another Eriba it could do with having long single beds. I expect a 420 or 418 would be OK, not fussy about having a loo so the 418 would suit especially a yellow. I hope that you find a replacement quickly Julie, it's not the same without an Eriba in your life. Ellen.

That's exactly why we moved from the PuckL to a 420, for the long beds. Then we discovered that Neil could sleep across the van and I don't mind clambering around if needed. Not sure I could manage without the loo now though.
Let's hope we both find what we are looking for soon,
Take care.

Initially we used the full bed, but the business with the table, then the poles and stuff. night and morning, which was my chore, we now happily use the beds individually, with the backs removed. I am 5/10 feet tall and Carole 5 and it it is fine.

We have a Puck L and have used the two benches as single beds, with the 'back' cushions removed ! when a quick pack up was required the next morning ! We found it acceptable for one night, wouldn't want to spend longer, but it worked :) I'm not "tall at 5'8 and Kathy at about 5'5. So no problem for us, lengthwise :)

On our Puck L the seat cushions/backs were in two pieces so we would make up half a full bed at the front then remove the rearmost back cushions and just use the seat cushions for the our legs, worked really well and was easy to get out of bed as we could swing our legs down as in singles.

We don't remove the back cushions we drop them behind the seats this gives a bit of elbow room.

We manage fine using the seats as singles and as others have mentioned removing seat backs. The extra space facilitated between the beds at the kitchen end is really useful and makes getting in and out of bed much easier. Probably our use of sleeping bags helps.

We have a couple of Duvolay mattresses and single duvets - works fine.
