Hello all

So I guess I'm launching into the world of caravaning...

I've never really been someone who goes camping, but after a trip to Italy with friends and their Eriba Triton (me in a tent next to it of course), the idea of a caravan started to germinate. We started trawling the second hand market and after failing to bid highest on a Eriba Future 480 from 2000, we snapped up a 2002 Future 430T a few days later for almost half the price!

We're currently in the cleaning and repairing phase (it was well used but also reasonably well maintained). So far we've found a few little surprises but nothing that looks likely to cause major costs (at least I hope!). I've already taken note of threads like how to clean the pop-top canvas :)

Meanwhile, free time is often spent reading caravanity.nl and looking at Pintrest for ideas. The remodelling should hopefully start in a month and the plan is have it ready for a trip to Italy in Autumn.

Looking forward to seeing and reading about other people's Eriba experiences, and hopefully will be able to share my own soon!

cheers

Hi Mags ZH and welcome to Eribafolk. We're in Switzerland too at this moment (near Interlaken) but are moving west.

The Campnsnoozers bought a Future a few years ago and I'm sure they will be interested to compare notes with you. :-)

Thanks for the welcome everyone :)

There's still a lot of work to do, but I'm taking photos as we go, so I can post them when the transformation is complete! I'm very much looking forward to the first trip with the Future.
