Thule Omnistor 4900 and Thule QuickFit

Hi all,

My Troll has a Thule Omnistor 4900 and I'm now looking at full/porch awnings. The problem I have is that the 4900 clamps fit on to either side of the awning rail so I can't use an awning without removing the 4900.

Today I have seen the Thule QuickFit awning which actually attaches to the 4900 when extended (in fact giving you a double roof). Has anyone got any experience of the QuickFit and whether it would be a good fit on the Troll. It is lightweight and designed for short stays.

Many thanks all.

Tony

Hi, I have just purchased a Dometic Privacy room for my Omnister 2000 on my Triton 430, and after a bit of adjustment to sides am really pleased with it . It is quick to assemble and take apart. The kit comes with uprights and cross bars so it only clips on to awning roof. I also use a tiedown kit to give it that final stability. Overall I am really quite pleased with final article. I did not get the correct side widths probably my fault but scissors and the wife on sewing machine did the rest. eckcan. You can see pics on awning pictures, under eckcan.

Hello Tonks, if you go ahead with the Thule Quickfit system please let me know how you get on cos I'm thinking the same for my 4900. I do have the rain/sun blockers and are very pleased with them but an enclosed awning such as the Quickfit sounds good!
