Having suffered the classic 'up and over' of my Omnistore 2000 awning last year, I had some damage to the right hand rafter assembly - part 13 here

Having purchased a replacement at the cost of some £90, which I have fitted this morning, I realised I have rather wasted my money. The damage to the rafter assembly was where the mounting rivet at the outer end had torn out of the arm. That was the only damage. What I have realised this morning is that if I had removed the rafter, trimmed it back in length by an inch and drilled new holes, it would have been fine and I would have saved the 90 quid.

The point of this rather rambling post is the old arm, which needs the refurbishment as outlined above, is available FOC to anyone who might need it. P&P at cost or pick up in Cambridge..
