Has anyone fitted a oven into their Eriba Troll?

In fact is it at all possible?

All things are possible, you just have to be prepared to lose space for something else.

I think that if a built-in oven or a normal sized toilet compartment or four berths or a proper shower etc etc are essential then an Eriba is not an appropriate choice of caravan.

As an alternative to an oven have you considered a Remoska? Ours is only the original small one but it is very versatile and will roast a whole chicken perfectly in an hour. I seem to remember some members saying that with a special 'stone' they can also be used to cook frozen pizzas although we have no personal experience of this.

You can't beat the Remoska, even cooked some of your recipes in it, Brian.

Remoska for the win but only works on hook up! If you are off grid, you'd need a gas oven or barbie with a lid. I personally wouldn't bother to have an oven built in. If you really need an oven cooked meal while on a caravan holiday, then try a good restaurant or hotel.

Or get a Cadac Safari Chef?

I cook a lot and have not really found anything that I cannot cook as I do at home.
I use the van gas hob, a Cadac and small Remoska. When in UK with 16 amp hook up I have a small electric oven. One of the early Dualit fan ovens that allows a true crispy roast. I also have a small induction hob for use when also on 16 amp.
Some may think this a bit OTT, but cooking is something I enjoy.

Same here. A cadac bbq, a Philips multi cooker that does all sorts of good things and a single gas burner because I avoid cooking in Betty whenever possible.

Weber Q1400 (electric), with a cast iron skillet, ceramic stone & roasting tin (£1 Asda).. is all you need.
Cooked breakfast, roasts, jackets,garlic bread,croissants & pizzas.
The lid closed effectively gives you an oven with temp reading.
Leg of lamb (with Rosmary & Garlic preparation), brown on the grill & into the roasting tray.. 120 deg for 90 minutes...Spuds round the outside for the last 60 minutes)..Stunning.
Most Uk sites 12-16 amp ..use electric & not your gas.
France can be a problem, but is improving.

We acquired a remoska this year and it is very useful, we also use our Cobb, which is a super efficient bbq with a lid which converts into an oven as well. You can use cobb stones which are a sort of compressed coconut husk or ordinary charcoal to power it, also it packs up quite small which is another good point.
