AKS 1300 hitch installation?

Our new to us Troll came without a stabilised hitch. Not happy about that so I bought an Alko AKS 1300 stabilised hitch. So far, so good. It came today, the enclosed fitting instructions are for an Alko side lift jack, not helpful. Neil is fairly certain that he knows how to do this but I'm slightly worried by his comments of "wonder what that bits for". So has anyone done this or can anyone point me to a helpful "how to" guide? This needs to be done before the Meet so I haven't really got time to wait for Alko to send the right paperwork.
Any help appreciated.
Julie.

Dead easy but please ensure to only knock the rear bolt out using the supplied piece and later knock it out with the bolt. Don't leave the hole empty as the overrun brake then slides forward.

Hi Julie

The stabiliser fitting is quite straight forward, but it would be useful if you could get hold of the installation instructions

Both fixing bolts must be inserted from the port side of the hitch to ensure the stabiliser's clamp lever isn't fouled.

In the kit there will be a couple of spacers for narrower drawbars which you won't need.

There's also a dowel which is used to drive the rear hitch bolt out, so when the bolt is removed, it's replaced by the dowel. This is to ensure the front fixing eye of the overrun damper remains in place.

The dowel's length is the same as the drawbar diameter to allow the new hitch head to fit in place. The new rear fixing bolt is knocked in position and at the same time, drives the dowel out.

That's the tricky bit done. Fixing the front hitch bolt is quite straightforward, but you must ensure there is a tubular spacer within the drawbar that the front bolt goes through.

Both bolts must be tightened to the correct torque - 86Nm if the 12mm bolts are marked 8.8 grade.

Let me know if you need any more info.

Thanks both, I'll get Neil to look at those before he starts. He knew about using the bar/bolt thing to stop the damper coming forward but there's a ring thing (my technical word for it, Neil's out at the moment) that he's not sure what it's for.

Thanks also John.
Neil did fit one of these a few years back when our PuckL's hitch was damaged by a manic breakdown driver( last time we lend an Eriba to anyone!) but he couldn't quite remember how it all went.
Hopefully with all this info to hand it should go ok.
Thanks again, knew I could rely on someone knowing the answer, lucky me, I got 3 of you.
