Just to add to this resource as these days with everyone using Facebook we are in danger of new material being lost in one endless post. I've added this information on the FB page but that will be lost forever very quickly.

here is my solution to fitting an awning on a troll from 2016, this vango kela lll LOW has a fitting range of 180 to 210 and is designed as a VW transporter type drive away awning. The photos show the very first attempt and it was pretty simple. Materials of construction appear very robust and it has a 3 year warranty.

The awning fitting kit is shown as supplied here, it needs cutting to 2.5 M long and has since been done, in the photos you can see it is way too long and only needs to be the length of the awning bead attached to the vango kela lll

Additional, i will position it 2 inches further back next time to clear the external locker and ill still have very good door opening access beyond 90 degrees. it will of course still cross the window but thats not a big deal as far as I'm concerned although to some I can see it would be.

Additional additional, moderator please add images to the awnings photo page for ref.

Any questions just ask.

We use a Vango Idris Low, which is very similar on our Triton 420. It has been very good in all sorts of weather.

HOWEVER watch out for the awning edge scratching the window where it passes across. This can happen when it gets dusty and the awning moves in the wind!

We fit the awning directly to the awning rail and have not needed the connector. We also chose the Idris as it has a removable groundsheet which is a requirement on some sites ( we substitute a breathable carpet which works fine).

It is much sturdier than the poled Movelite we had before.

Triton 420GT and Suzuki S-Cross Diesel.

good point ref the window, this is the one thing im concerned about. I will get some clear window film and apply to the window before next use.
Groundsheet is also something im sure ill have to negotiate with a site warden about before long.

Be careful what you place over the acrylic windows, as even 'cling film ' can cause a reaction with the acrylic - causing it to mark ! ! ! :(
