Just packing ready for a short trip to Normandy for 10 days. Was just about to pack my little DAB radio and thought, I wonder whether that will work in France? Having done a little research, it seems that there are DAB transmissions in Paris and the other larger cities, but that generally, DAB has not yet been rolled out to the extent is has here. Does anyone have any experience of this - particularly to the Normandy area?

To answer my own question, a pal of mine just dropped by for a cuppa. He had just come back from a trip to France and confirms that DAB pretty much doesn't exist in France yet. So back to the wind up radio and good old FM!

France does have some DAB, but its the more advanced DAB+, so unless your radio can receive +, you probably wont get any reception.
