Hi. Back again!
Seeing a flipped caravan on the A30 recently has focussed my attention on safety checks before a forthcoming French jaunt....
Checked the date codes on the tyres.. oh dear 2004 on the tyres in use and 1995 on the spare - oops!
The main rims have been replaced (probably when the tyres were fitted) with CLM V-690 E14 4.75x10 running 145R10 tubeless tyres.
The spare is on an older unmarked, but rusty (maybe original) rim fitted with a 145 80R10 tubed tyre.
I guess I need new tyres all round (despite the main ones looking excellent) - any recommendations for good makes types... and I'm wondering whether the spare rim will cope with a tubeless. Maybe time to get a new rim too. I've looked for the CLM make, but can't find a uk supplier. What PCD/offset etc do I need to look for with another make?
