I have just been reading my operating instructions for myTruma electric boiler and it say that there is to be NO non return valve between boiler and the pump, my system has no valve and works ok.So where are these valves being fitted ?

Hi Bernardm
I am not technically minded so don't know if your electric boiler is the same as our gas/electric one. Our boiler weould heat up the water on both joint gas/electric and just electric but then after a short while something happened and the hot water in the boiler would flow back into the 30 litre water tank under the bed.

At our first service, which we had done at Adventure Leisure at Tebay, they fitted a non-return valve in one of the water pipes next to the boiler. This did the trick and the boiler works perfectly now. Would take you a photo to show you exactly where but I have just had my left hip replaced and frustratingly can't get into the Eriba on crutches! MikeT

Thanks for your quick reply , I think there is some confusion about this non return valve , depending which boiler you have , as I see it the electric only boiler does not have one and the gas/electric does have one.
