Does any member own the Uebler X21S bike carrier for recreational purposes when not towing or camping etc? The instructions for this carrier state that by squeezing the locking mechanism; which is in effect the squeezing together of two plastic paddles located behind the light assembly, it is possible to slide the light assembly further outwards. I've done as instructed without success and am wondering whether this is because the carrier is new with the plastic paddles not releasing correctly or if I'm not squeezing hard enough. Either way, I would invite and appreciate any comments from anyone having this carrier and having experienced the same.
