Just bought a 1988 Puck , seems in pretty good condition -- anybody recommend a tow hitch lock or other anti theft device ? Yet to sleep in it but by chance have a tempur mattress topper the exact size so should help as I'm not the best sleeper. Previous owner had substituted the full size gas bottle with the small 3 kilo size which I suppose will be ok but I got to make it more secure . Fridge works fine which surprised me after all this time . We have an awning , a Hypercamp Paradis , like a nissen hut shape , 3m x 3.25 which should be big enough. Towing it with a 1998 Sharan Tdi. Looking forward to our trip to C Brava in 7 weeks . Any hints and tips for a new owner ?

Hi to another vintage Puck owner!
The bed in ours is brilliant. no complaints. And with just a bit of careful fettling the rest of the van works well. Nothing too complicated.
For security we've got a hitch lock and wheel clamp off amazon, and were fortunate to get the correct locking barrel to lock the van to the car when parked (remove while driving). Enjoy.

Removing the hitch lock while driving is like regulations on breathalisers in France - a very grey area - and extended wing mirros. You make your own decisions I reckon.
