Winter heating allowance -for those of a certain age

As my initial application arrived today I thought I'll get that sorted, I decided to phone it's an 0345 number so some may encounter charges (free for me). Just a few questions, DOB, NI number, Full name, Address, Bank details, all done in under 5 minutes. I'll get my first payment later this year £200.

I've only posted this as I know others are approaching their pensionable age, I was also told the smart way to apply for the Old Age pension is over the phone OR you can fill out several reams of paperwork

Dont get me started, they stopped ours as we live in France, minus 9 in the Winter but it is a BENEFIT, the house of Lords can have it but as I only worked for 45 years they stopped ours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they also told us that the OAP payments were a benefit and not an eWinter fuel allowance 001.JPG - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte)entitlement, sent this pic to my MEP, no response £200 pounds worth of wood

should think so to, if your spending your pension in France, let the Frence keep you warm. you could always come home.

Yep, could always come home and claim all the other benefits, they stopped it because they said it wasnt cold enough ?????
