Hi everyone,

This is Graham, but my friends call me Grumps. Can't think why (Ha!).

My wife Judy and I have just bought a 2004 Familia 320GT and we love it.

(Note to self) Must get a towbar !

We are going to need help to identify and track down a replacement for the awning riser that is missing from the Soplair Bretagne awning poles.

Also we have one new and one original front window and they are different colours due to fading. The near-side is original. It would be great if a fellow member has the corresponding window issue and we could do a swap.


We look forward to leaning how to correspond with you all and finding our way around the Eriba Folks web site.

Most of all we are looking forward to meeting like-minded people on sun-filled sites throughout the UK.

Re the awning riser; do you need a double ended spike or a spike at one end and a flattened other end if it's a double spike we may be able to help as our awning came with both. Having said that we've moved house twice in the last six months and I'm not sure where it might be

Hi, Thanks for your message and offer of help with the awning riser. I am unsure what I need as it is missing.....It needs to fit with a spike into the awning rail at the centre mounting point. I guess this also has a means of securing it upright unless it is a very tight fit in the mounting point bracket. The other, upper-most end, will need to take the hook from the end of the ridge pole coming up to the van, I guess that this could be a spike. Either way the riser needs to be adjustible for height I think.

Perhaps other Folk will know about these things but I have never seen one.

I find a tow bar helps, Lorraine can't run as fast as she used to.

Think you will find that the difference in window surround colour is not due to fading but two different colours and they might well be original. We had the same on our previous Eriba (2006 Triton) but when I inspected the other windows found that they alternated between the two colours (grey/brown/grey etc).
Either done on purpose or fitter was having a laugh.
