Has anyone got a Samara carpet in their 'van? If so can you tell me what colour it really is. When I saw one in the showroom I thought it was grey (but it had been walked on a lot at an exhibition. In the Hymer brochure it looks a pleasant mid grey. When printed out to show OH it turns a sort of beige. Cameron says its a biscuity-grey(?)

That's what I thought - quite put me off! (So I wondered if I could get a better colour description of the Samara carpet colour on here. (OH can't remember!)

Yes, that's it - it does look an attractive grey, not too dark or light. And that's what we have ordered. But each time I've copied it from the Hymer site to the laptop or printed it comes out looking more beige-ish. Cameron describing it as biscuity-grey didn't help. The other one, Roma, looks charcoal grey on the website, but in fact is dark brown, I understand.

The brochures are not good representing colours. When I ordered my new 430 I could not get to the bottom of what the actual seating fabric colour was. It only finally started to make sense when a forum member kindly took a photo for me at the Birmingham show, with a £5 note on a cushion so I could get a true idea of colour.

True, but I would like confirmation that the Samara grey and not beige - has anyone got one?

I can't imagine coping with carpet in the van. How do you keep it clean? I can see that it would be nice and cosy but in the rain......

You now need to find out where he gets the edges whipped. This is not cheap but well worth the expense.

An easy diy alternative to edging the carpet is to copydex it. Run a bead of the copydex along the rough edge which will seal it.
