Update on Mr. McInnes and his left leg/knee.

Well I attended my last session with the orthopedic surgeon this morning and he's very happy with my progress now 9 weeks in from the operation.
I've still to continue to wear the full leg brace for a further 3 weeks along with physiotherapy for 3 more months.
I'm still not driving as I need to be able to manage a full emergency stop which I'll be practicing from next week.

Prior to the operation he, the surgeon stated that it would be a six month period back to full recovery but today he said now more likely it will be the end of 2014 before that happens and to expect my left leg/knee to always have less function than the right..

Looks like my holiday to Aix-les-Bains in June is okay but will have to keep the wandering over the Alps to much easier slopes.

David

Just be patient and keep on doing the physio,
it will be ok in the end.

that's all good news apart from time frame, only you can say if fully functional, but don't stress injury to much, to soon, otherwise could cause issues later

really must google the place your going sounds lovely.

Keep it up David and do the physio exercises, that's what got the muscles in my two legs back again, using weights and straps daily while in the hospital bed and carrying on with them daily at home.
