Hi Paul and welcome to the forum. Hope you'll enjoy your visits here. Please feel free to use all the facilities.

Regarding matching the paint colour of your '91 Familia, what I would do is to contact Jean of Jandi by phone http://www.eribacaravans.co.uk/

She'll probably need some numbers off your VIN plate but my guess is that she will be able to give you the answer quite quickly.

Also, there are quite a few members on here with Eribas of a similar age who may be able to help you out.

It looks to me like it may be the standard silver that has aged to a more bronze finish. I had a 2001 Troll 540 and this effect was noticeable on all the plastic exterior bodyparts. I suspect that given an additional 10 years the paint colour on the metal parts would deteriorate in the same way.

For confirmation I'd have a chat with Sandy at Jandi.

If you're restoring a '91 you'll have a quandary, do you paint it the original silver or try and find a bronzey silver that matches the aged colour.

I think there were a range of colours Andy, Purple, Bronze, Yellow.
Perhaps these are the lower half colours referred to.

No I think what Paul means is that his Familia is like Plugs7's Florence...g22p234-quot-Plugs-quot.html#viewport

If that is correct Paul then your '91 Familia is I think a very late edition to the late '80's colour scheme.

That would be a very late use of that colour scheme.

The Google Images link I posted was for a '1991 Familia' and a lot of the images are of 1991 vans. As you'll see most had the lower portion is painted with stripes in the same colour above. In some pictures it looks silver and in some bronze but I think the silver ones are probably those that have been stored indoors or under cover. The bronze ones are partly the pics colour balance and partly weathering. Either way a call to Sandy is the best course 'cos he'll give you paint codes an' all.

Just get an easy chair and a vacuum flask ready before phoning
