Yet another silly question !!

Looking into the 2 Seat Boxes ( 310 Model ) - they both have hinged shelf supports, like the one for holding the folding section of the worktop.
Why put them in the seat boxes ? Must be a reason ??

Is it to stow the seat back cushions behind to stop them falling over or joggling around or something simliar like, init?

Maybe that's what's occurring.

That kind of thing.

I have one in a similar position in my Troll. Like you, I have been scratching my head ever since I first saw it...

Interestingly, going by your upholstery fabric, my Troll is of exactly the same age...

Hmmmm.....

I also had these in a 2006 Familia with same fabric. I thought they may had been for holding seat bases up, possibly during winter storage.

Aha! . .so the " thick plottens" .. I feared an instant answer demonstrating just how unobservant I am. I figured must be missing something very obvious. Surely the clever Eriba folk installed these for an equally clever reason? Now I know that they were not installed by a previous owner for some obscure reason.

No, it would appear that they were installed by Hymer for an obscure reason

If you , like us, have the rear dinette seats on boards they are used to stop the seat base fllopping forward onto your noggin when you are fumbling around in the locker for something you were convinced was there but can't now find.
