Virgin Eriba converts but still lots of questions - sorry!

Just returned from our first weekend away in our new van a 2009 320gt eriba familia after recently swapping from our old vw autosleeper. We love the van (apart from the reversing!) but am sure will get better with practice.
We have an avtex tv with an aeriel but want something fitted so we don't have cables inside or have to stick it to open windows etc. Would like an outside point and see that there should be cables fitted somewhere in a locker? Anyone fitted an outside aeriel box? If so is it easy for a average diy person?

Also found the table a bit long and wonder if people have found the same? would really like to reduce the length by about a foot but notice its routed underneath.

Another slight annoyance is the thetford flush wasn't working and changed the fuse but still no joy I don't fancy changing the pump myself after looking at the how to section & not sure it is the pump any thoughts?

would also like to see what other people do with their vans inside regarding storage, adding hooks for coats etc and nifty ideas with shoe storage as clever ideas are always useful with a small van.

Will try and upload some pics of our van soon too.

Do other people notice that Eribas always attract loads of attention from other people on sites?

Hi, we had an Autosleeper Trident and before that an Autohomes Kameo both on the VW chassis. We keep the table from our Eriba Troll at home and have replaced it with 2 x lightweight aluminium ones which store in the same position as the original when in transit, very useful.

We also ditched the wooden / plastic sink cover and use 2 x circular trays, far more useful, on site we keep the kettle and cups on 1 and bread or cakes on the other, they also come in handy for use as a draining board.

For soft clothes we use the overhead lockers for socks, pants, shorts, lightweight trousers, but for more bulky items we use large thick plastic bags which fold when not in use, we get these from Morrisons or other large supermarkets, they come in a range of colours red, blue green etc, very useful for under seat storage and shoes (the bags are sealed so no damp or dirt issues).

The aeriel, we have an inlet on the door side in an underseat cupboard which has a brown cover over it, this is then routed up to one of the back top overhead lockers, on ours it is on the left hand side, it is under a brown plastic conduit, we don't use an aeriel, but that's because we travel light.

Either Aldi or Lidl have some nifty hangers coming up in a special, worth a look, we bought ours from Ikea, plastic, non slip, and I have a trick to stop them sliding about!! Which is to use a trouser hanger (these usually have 2 clamps on them, I simply put it on the hanging rail by using the clamps to attach it, and slide it to hold the ordinary coat hangers in place) or you could use an old piece of pipe lagging cut to the right length.

I'll leave it there for now otherwise I'll give away all my tips

I have fitted an aerial point in the plastic rear bumper which is routed up through the floor (through an existing vent). It is a purpose made coax joint with a cover and 5m of cable I will take a pic in a moment and post it.......

yes the eribas attract a lot of attention, especially if you write this threads title in window lol
welcome lol

table Hob has a handy thread of his table creation, another eribanist used a b and q kitchen door,
the eriba table is hollow
believe Crow had sourced the metal connector

temporary flush could be the shower tap if your eriba has one.. again Hob had issues and fixed there is a thread regarding the fix

Regarding aerial etc.

We have our Avtex mounted on the side of the wardrobe. We run the coax through the wardrobe under the rear seat and out through the ventilation hole already provided by Hymer at the rear. A coax joiner allows for extension for the use on onsite cable/digital, use of Avtex aerial or Sat . No additional holes required no further risk of water ingress works a treat !!!!!.

Just got back from Yorksire Dales took 2 mins to get tele out of car to working picking up 60 channels just using Avtex aerial stuck to the roof.
