Belated hello.

We sold everything and moved to Portugal 10 years ago. Gave money to sons on condition they bought houses and saved us a bedroom. However, since then they have filled the rooms with children leaving us with nowhere to stay when visiting. So, on landing in uk in Dec we turned left instead of right, went to AL and bought a Familia to use as a bedroom. Plug into their 'free' leccy and love it. We return in Feb and will travel slowly back in it.

Hi Andrew and welcome to Eribafolk

Where in Portugal do you live? We towed our Eriba down through Portugal three years ago and loved the country. Our trip was made extra special because Eribafolk member Francisco Ramos from Lisbon, towed his Pan Familia 100 kms north and he and his family met up with us for the weekend at the municipal campsite in Tomar.

This area of the country was his old stomping ground so our meet up included a day out in the mountains to visit his elderly father at the old family home. A weekend we will never forget.

Bom dia, Randa. We live in the Alentejo, near Grandola. We help 2 Dutch friends run a camp/caravan site which started from scratch ten years ago. We need to come home for dec to march each year as all children and grand children have birthdays in those months. Have not vanned for 9 yrs but will do more with this eriba.I hate towing long vans, keep hitting things,

Ah, although we passed by when we moved from Evora to Lagos, we didn't explore your part of the world. Should have because we didn't rate the Algarve. Nice but not as nice as we expected.

We especially liked the area around Braga in the north.

It is MonteNaturista.com. Visited by people from all over Europe. It is however a rural retreat and not really for someone wanting bright lights etc. It gets busy in summer when the Portuguese people are on holiday. All the info is on the web site. x
