As some may know, I'm nailed to the mast as a Moderator on Caravan Talk, with four years service.
I have to say there are some good times and I've learned a lot but oh dear it is dire. A constant diet of leaking wobbly boxes and recently we've been taken over by the AlKo Axle Failure Tendency. And just how do you break it to an upset caravan owner that they've probably been loading their pride and joy well over what it was designed to stand. Indeed today we had a guy who had one van that had an 'axle failure' and the replacement van has now had the same. Do you not think he'd get a bit of a message there? No, of course, it's not him, it's the van builder's fault.
I still can't work that one out? The builder specs a van and Alko supply an axle that'll meet that spec. If the axle fails under normal use it's not the van builder's fault but Alko's and if it fails because it was constantly overloaded then it's the owners fault.
Doh!
So nice to come back to a place with few leak and few axle failure probs.
