Euro Exchange Rate:-

With the current uncertainty as to if it's going up or down, we decided to look for some Euros today.

Best High Street rate we could find was 1.10 Euro to the £ in Thomas Cook. They didn't have any though and pre-ordering doesn't gaurantee the rate.

So it was Travel world who are offering 1.095 Euro to the £.

Anyone prepared to guesstimate which way it's going to go in the next couple of months?

we struggle monthly with the exchange rate here in France but we use our Nationwide credit card to buy larger items,ferry costs etc, just paid last months with a 1.13 exchange rate so maybe another way rather than buying too many euros

If you are fortunate in having a large Tesco near you with a foreign currency booth, they are about as good as you get for over the counter rate.

Although we use Halifax Clarity when abroad to withdraw as they give near perfect rate, and don't charge for withdrawals, then go online and do a bank transfer the same day to pay off then there is no interest to pay.
