New eriba owners and advice on utensil storage !

This may seem a daft question but very new to using our puck . Can anyone tell me the best way to store utensils / mugs / plates in the lockers that will stop the whole lot rolling around ? Thought about those plastic baskets ? Tips would be great !! Thanks
Just love my Puck L ❤️

We keep utensils in the floor cabinet drawer. We found a plastic utensil tray in Wilkinsons that was exactly the right size to fit the drawer. Plates and bowls, we store in the open mesh sliding container just underneath the drawer.
As for cups, mugs, glasses and more glasses, we wrapped them in pieces of kitchen roll and pack them tightly into one of the side overhead lockers. Touch wood but we've not had a breakage in 5 years.

When travelling we use plastic storage tubs with lids, two that fit under the bench which has the cooking utensils and crockery. Under the sink at the front (Familia320) we have two more tubs that the food goes in. When on site the food is put on the shelf and the cooking utensils and crockery are put under the sink in the tub.
When I go on holiday I like to pop my top!

the knives, forks, tin opener, serving utensils, screw drivers, torch are in the drawer,
the plates dishes are in the wire mesh basket drawer in kitchen base cupboard, wrapped between each item with t towels, 3 tiered steamer, split on shelf with lid, kettle fits in base of steamer pan in bottom of cupboard in cardboard box, cutting board sits next to water container, our empty eriba bin has always travelled in habitation door, rather than in kitchen cupboard.
plastic jugs in a top cupboard
cups wrapped in t towels and travel in fridge with water filter jug, clean dish cloth in a box with jug, (cups used to travel in fork drawer)
superkettle sits in fire bucket in boot of car
our kitchen and fridge is over the axle..
the fork drawer, and sink cover sits on floor over axle to save it flying during travel
try to store heavy items low and over axle while travelling
definitely do not put glass or tins in top lockers especially over glass top hob, in case the locker door flys open
we have small lock and lock containers which are velcro'd to locker cupboard base, and each other..

We have our knives, forks & spoons in a cutlery tray in the drawer, alongside it are a spatula, large drainage spoon, and a very sharp knife.
On the shelf in the under sink cupboard are a steamer (we only carry 2 steamer baskets and the lid)
We carry a wok and a frying pan, on the cupboard floor (seperated by t cloths)
Our induction cooker goes on the cupboard floor (with a t cloth on top)
Our kettle also goes in this cupboard along with a few tins of food and washing tablets / fluid.
We put our chopping boards on top of the cutlery tray.
Our mugs are stored in a washing bowl in the sink (again protected by t cloths)
Our sink is covered by 2 x circular trays (which replace the useless wood / plastic) these double up as extra draining board, drinks trays, etc.
We carry extra food in oblong washing bowls under the front table, we place 1 layer of tins in the bottom of each bowl, this allows them to then be stacked and they double up for other uses, (wet clothing, shoes, washing up etc).
Our clothes are stored, mostly in the top cupboards (pants, socks, lightweight trousers, shirts, shorts etc) heavier / bulky cloths are stored in large plastic "trolley" bags which most of the large supermarkets sell.
We've been around camping and caravanning a long time and we tend to use items that can be used for more than 1 purpose, we travel light but have everything we need

Thank you all that makes sense ! Haven't got a wire basket under the sink so will sort that out . Can't believe how much space we have !!

Would love to see some photos of her. (presumably a "her"?). There are quite a few Puck L owners on here and every one of them loves that model.
The Puck L is entirely different to the rest of the range with its kitchen in the rear, (sorry Julie [Grafo], but YES, it is the rear ) so perhaps it doesn't come with a wire basket.

We can only endorse the comments made by Randa - we 'adore' our Puck L and enjoy all the benefits of its size (easy to tow, store and clean) and design (rear kitchen, bed, lockers etc etc etc). I could go on but it would be boring - enjoy your little treasure.

We're always experimenting with storage. The foam mats that tenters use under their sleeping bags can be easily cut to hold things......image.jpg - Bild entfernt (keine Rechte)

After one incident of a jar breaking and venting its contents into the locker we now try to keep anything with liquid in a box to hold back the flood or sticky mess. Broken eggs are quit hard to clean up!!! The White boxes are from IKEA and are a nice fit in the overhead lockers.

Is it just me or do Frantone's photos come out upside down to others when enlarged? I couldn't work out how the glasses could be held up to the roof of the locker by just using foam sleeves............
