Thetford cassette

Hi
Just cleaning out the cassette prior to our first trip and I notice the main component, the opening at the top is the wrong way round. None of the marks line up. The small green knob that opens the cassette is on the left hand side when looking at the cassette from the filler end. It fits correctly and opens from the lever inside the van. Is this a common thing with Eriba vans?

The whole assembly removes by extending the slider and using it as a lever to rotate the unit. It unlocks and lifts out when turned (180°?).
Hopefully you could then reinsert it and lock it in the correct orientation.

Frantone is correct in that the slider is used to rotate the whole circular plate. However, it only goes about 20 degrees or so before the plate is lifted out. If the whole plate was rotated 180 degrees the green blade opening knob would be on the wrong side and not work.

If it all works, that is when the cassette is pushed in to position and the blade opens from the toilet compartment, then it must all be OK.
I can't get my cassette door open enough (next to a fence) to check at the moment.
