Hi, we're brand new owners. Just put down a deposit on a 2005 Puck L 230 GT.

Didn't expect to be an owner so soon! But the right age, spec etc just appeared on Auto trader within 1.5 hours drive of us. It's been garaged all its life, serviced regularly and owned by an engineer who's taken good care of it.

I don't even have a tow bar yet. :D

Hi and welcome to Eribafolk. A great choice of van and just in time for this year's touring. After the tow bar have you any plans?

Well, we need to sell the Mazda Bongo it's replacing...!! And then I have no idea. Wasn't expecting to be able to afford anything at all this year but my grandad very kindly left me a bit of cash in his will.

Don't think we will go abroad this year but we fancied Skye perhaps. Maybe a festival...

I'd love to do the tour from Northern Spain up through France some day.

Emma/Andrew,
wecome to the Eriba world. Don't discount abroad yet. I'm not sure where in the UK you are, but if planning a two week break then abroad should be a consideration. Cheaper campsite fees could easily cover the extra travel costs. Oh and the weather is usually better.

We've just taken the plunge too and today joined this forum site. Pick ours up on 27th. Hope you have many exciting holidays in yours. Chosen a name for it yet?

Thank you all for such a warm welcome.

Colin, you make a good point :) We are in North West England. Love the Hull crossings for the convenience even though they're pricey. Hate the trek down to Dover but will do it if I have to.

Ralph79, I've always wanted to go to Sidmouth but haven't made it yet. Cambridge also on my list. Going to the Shetland festival this year but sans Eriba.

James, we think we will get ours next weekend. It's super exciting. What did you guys get in the end? No name yet - we asked the previous owners if they had one and they didn't. So we need to do some thinking!!

We have never got around to naming ours, but seeing your name I thought Elma or Urma might sound good for your new arrival.
