Do you mean the aluminium folding heat/splash guards that fold up from the hob?

Hi Beryl
I think I might have what you want. Is it the aluminium shield that is stuck to the glass lid and hinged to make side shield?
I will take a photo later.

no thank you, We would like to try and replace the aluminium shield by taking it out and fitting a new glass gas splash guard and fittings ( if this is the correct terminology. Any suggestions please? They would be much appreciated Beryl
