So these wouldn't be straw polls then

Owner's opinions on poles are split, according to an opinion poll conducted among Poles..

Thanks for the replies on slatted beds. I'm sort of convinced that all will be well. Will have to wait and see. (We had bendy poles and replaced them with steel ones).

We know what Blueyonder means about the awkward position you have to adapt to pull the second slat in place. We do it together and then my young wife kneels on the first slat whilst we get the second one exactly right.

We don't have great problems putting the bed up and down, which we normally do everyday as we like using the large table if we are inside in the evening in cold or wet weather. Whoever made the comment earlier about lifting the beds high before trying to pull the slats out is exactly right. As I'm getting increasingly in need of an afternoon nap in my dotage (or through too much red wine at lunch) the long single beds in the 540 are great and we wouldn't swap them for anything. MikeT

I must've got something wrong here. I never nap but Mrs SDA often has a zzzz on the sofa at home or on a caravan bench. When I did start falling asleep in the day they whisked me off to the Sleep Clinic and I was told I had sleep apneia and they issued me with a mask and CPAP machine which I sleep with every night, all night. Apparently if I use it for less than 4 hours a night I lose my driving licence.

Mine follow an unfortunate head injury a number of years ago, which at times can make me a bit like a battery in need of a charge. However I have learnt to love the naps and the 540 is an ideal place to take one! MikeT

If you've had a head injury then surely you're excused Eribas for life. Unless under 5ft 6ins tall.
