Not got the caravan yet, but it is due in July. We have gone for the 540GT with a few other extras. My wife and I live in the Lake District so the dealer at Tebay was the obvious choice. Seem very good and helpful. Not sure about the height restrictions and all that, but my wife convinced me it was the one for us, after nearly 30 years of British vans. Looking forward to picking it up.

Graham,

many members are currently at the Eribafolk forum Spring Meet, so responses may take a while, with limited internet access and other distractions! Don't worry about the head height, I am 6ft 1inch (female) and I manage....you'll bump your head once, maybe twice! We are eagerly awaiting our new Troll too. July delivery gives you plenty of time to enjoy the 2018 season.

Anyway, you are very welcome.

I'm 6ft 2ins and do occasionally bump my head on the older vans, but from 2010 the Eribas got a few extra inches in height by tightening the curve on the roof. This allowed a higher gutter/awning rail point and a higher internal fixed roof and doorframe. It also meant that the roof edge no longer rested on your left shoulder when you went for a pee. So unless you're more than 6ft 2ins you shouldn't have any real problem.

Welcome Graham. Good choice of Eriba!
Not sure about the head banging. We’ve had 4 Eribas in the last 20 years and still bang my head. 🤕
The other features and delights are some compensate for the slight discomfort.

I'm more normal [in height] at a modest 5' 8". This gives me a vast advantage over less vertically challenged owners as I have the joy of being able to walk the length of my 2017 van without needing to lift the roof.
As above, toilet space is so much better on the newer vans and was one of the first things I noticed over my previous Eribas. You will bang your head on the door frame, even when you have owned one for many years.Normally start of the season or when in a rush. One tip is to exit the van backwards, but I usually don't bother.
