New Troll & Kitchen drawer question

Hi

I have just bought my first caravan - a 2006 Eriba Troll 540GT. I collect it in a couple of weeks and am looking forward to lots of adventures. I have done a fair bit of research as I’ve wanted an Eriba for 16 years, ever since I first saw one in France whilst on holiday.

When I viewed the Eriba I noticed there is a drawer in the kitchen above the cutlery drawer. When I opened it there was a panel of worktop material in there with a cut-out in it. Does anyone know what this is?

It's an extra bit of worktop. The cut-out is to enable it to pass either side of the sink drain pipe. I think it was only fitted to the '05 and '06 vans. But whatever you do, don't press down on it too hard as it's not that firmly supported.

Ok, thanks. I thought maybe it folded out as it doesn’t seem very useful as it is - I’ll try it for a while but may just use the drawer as a drawer instead.

We had one on our 2006 Familia 310. We did not use it and would advise others not to either. It's is as above a poor attempt at an extra bit of worksurface. You cannot really put much pressure on it and you definetly do not want to cut on the surface. Hymer obviously thought likewise and dropped the silly idea.
