Small Citroen's have never been very good at automatics and the C3's is an automated manual, rather than a proper automatic gearbox, so they need a special technique to get a smooth, rather than jerky ride.
Towing limit is 1100kg which might be close to a Familia's MTPLM if it's been upgraded.
Also check the plated Gross Train Weight and Gross Vehicle Weigh. Citroen's often have GTW's that are less than the GVW and Towing Weight limit added together. In reality this means that if you tow with a caravan at anything near the Towing Limit, then the car maximum load has to be reduced, or if you load the car near it's maximum then the caravan's weight has to be lowered.
We had a guy on CT with a C4 Picasso that if he towed his caravan at MTPLM, he didn't have enough weight allowance to allow his wife to sit in the passenger seat, if she had they would be towing illegally.
As a petrol engine it has inherently low torque compared to a diesel and whilst the power rating is over the 40PS per ton that's recommended as a minimum, it's only 43PS per ton, so not far over the minimum and with limited torque it might not be a very comfortable tow.
