Any idea where can I get a sink tap for a '97 Triton 430? We changed the washroom tap last year but now whenever we turn on that one, the sink tap turns on as well by itself!! It was serviced last week but they didn't have a tap. They suggested that the problem is actually the sink tap, not a problem with the one that we fitted.

Is it possible that when you fitted the new tap you wired it incorrectly? so that when turned on it completes both circuits.

In a pressure system either faulty tap will activate the pump.

We thought that and hoped that during the service it would be sorted. I don't think he looked properly if I'm honest!

One thing that I learn't on the Eriba is that the blue wire is the live, and the brown is the common , do you have them the wrong way round on either tap ?

It doesn't sound like an electrical problem to me. The sink tap will only run water if it is not shut properly, irrespective as to how the taps are wired up.

I don't know the construction of your sink tap but maybe there is a distorted or misplaced O ring in there preventing it shutting off properly. You should be able to take it apart and inspect it?
