Hi. Does anyone know if French gas bottles from Intermarche will work using a standard Butane pigtail set up? I already have an adaptor that allows me to use a butane pigtail to connect to Camping Gaz bottles, but as we all know these refills are a bit pricey. I am not interested in other alternatives such as Butagaz etc btw .

Any chance of a photo of the cylinder in question that you know now is compatible.

Yes no problem. This is an ad on Leboncoin showing some 10kg 'Frangaz' butane bottles for sale:

Although not ideal cost wise, I ended up with a Campingaz 907 bottle btw - works perfectly with a butane pigtail adaptor.

Thank you. We also carry a 907 in addition to our Calorlite. We use this for the Cadac, and in the unlikely event the Calor runs out it can be connected to the vans gas circuit.

No problem. Off to France in August so plan to test the Frangaz bottle fitting with a spare butane pigtail. Will update then as this seems to be a very fuzzy topic everywhere.

If you have time to spare before your departure you could look up BP Gaslight 27mm snap-on regulator. I believe this is also compatible with one of the French bottles, but cannot remember which.
