It might be a good idea to give potential sellers an idea of what sort of age/price range you're after MM and where you're located and willing to travel to view.

We are in the south east but for the right caravan we will travel. Price I have no idea tbh maybe you could give me an idea? We are not looking for new something up to 10 years old. Hope this helps. Thanks for your advice.

Sorry but the sentence about the age of van you're after is a bit confusing. Are you wanting a van under or over 10 years old?

Buying from a dealer will generally cost £1,000 or more than a private sale as a dealer supplied van will usually have been serviced and fettled and you'll have the 'protection' of the CRA, whilst private sales are 'as is' with no legal come back.

The price range depends on age, so it depends on your answer to the first point in this post.

Ok, we are looking for a caravan of no more than 10 years of age. So probably 2008 onwards. Thanks for your advice that’s great to know. Here’s hoping we will find something soon.

2008 was the year of the dark wood strip on all the roof lockers.

2009 to 2010 vans are relatively rare as the French factory closed and production transferred to Germany during that period and there was something of a hiatus in supply whilst that happened.

From a dealer, roughly speaking:

2008 12k
2009 13k
2010 14k
2011 15k
2012 16k
2013 17k
2014 18K
2015 19k
2016 20k
2017 22k

It all depends on spec and condition which could make a difference of up to £1,000 either way.
