I'm in the process of buying an Eriba Troll 530. I currently have a Bailey Olympus, but my wife and I are attracted to the compact design and high quality engineering of the Eriba. Looking forward to collecting my Troll on 26 July! Can't wait!

I have a question. Can anyone recommend a suitable wheel clamp for me to buy?

Thanks in anticipation.

My wheel clamp is reserved for a customer at the Summer Meet.

It's very much personal preference, as usual when you ask such questions on a forum those answering will always recommend the one they bought.

Understood thanks. I just wondered if there was one that stood out for people.

It may be an idea to ask if your insurance company has an approved list.
On my last three Eribas I used a Bulldog Euro. On my current van I use a Nemesis Ultra, as I managed to get one cheaply second hand. It is lighter, less bulky and I prefer it out of the two. When parked up for any time this goes on.This is in addition to Alko hitch lock that is always fitted.

Our insurance didn't need a wheel clamp and I just bought a cheap one as a visual deterrent. Eriba behind locked gates at home.
Enjoy your 530, we love ours.

It also depends whether you have steel wheels or alloys

Hi David and welcome to the site

We have a 540GT and have two clamps!!!!!!!!

We bought an SAS Superclamp Duo first. This is easy to fit and goes onto alloy or steel wheels and is relatively light to carry around in the back of the estate when travelling.

However the following week my wife's best friend had their van (BWB) stolen from our friend's storage yard. Seeing how devastated they were threw me into slightly irrational anti-theft overdrive and I supplemented the SAS with the dog's privates of a clamp, a Bulldog Titan.

This is a really heavy clamp which takes some getting on, as there is a bit of a technique to it. ( If I hadn't been wearing heavy duty gloves the first time I tried to put it on the wheel I would have suffered a bad cut to my hand as the top arm slipped down). It is a real beast and when the van is on the drive for any length of time I put it on. However I only took it on our travels once as it is really just too heavy combined with the "kitchen sink" and all our other belongings in the boot.

For me the SAS Duo is the one I use all the time along with the hitchlock. I'm not sure it would stop anyone determined to steal the van but not sure what would anyway. I did toy with corner steady locks as well but didn't bother in the end.

Enjoy your Troll530. Have you gone for the original or the GT? MikeT
