For anyone who saw last night's episode (Wednesday10pm BBC2) and was wondering where it was filmed, the scenes on the boat near the bridge where they caught sea trout were shot at Bridge Pool, Christchurch, Dorset close to where the Hampshire Avon joins the sea. The ruined building to the left was the Norman 'Constable's House' behind which are the ruins of the motte and bailey castle. Christchurch Priory is close by and the path from which Bob accessed the boat leads past the Priory down to Christchurch Quay and views of Hengistbury Head.
The pair boarded the sea fishing boat for their trip to The Needles in pursuit of sea bass at Lymington Quay and their fish was cooked at The Elderflower Restaurant on the town's Quay Hill.
If you haven't seen this very funny series in which the two comedians visit beautiful locations around the country in search of specific species of fish, you can view it on catch-up. For those visiting The New Forest, Christchurch and Lymington are ideal for days out.
