It's that time of year again. when I reclaim the conservatory from the plants (well almost) there are still about 30 in there but about 450 went outside into the greenhouses this weekend.........................

I thought this might interest some of you. a few years ago I planted a frost hardy tree like plant in the ground inside one of the greenhouses ...............last autumn I had to remove the glass and replace it with a sheet of alloy coated plastic with a hole cut in it as it was rapidly heading skyward its about a foot above the hole now and growing at the rate of about 8 inches a year

all good fun but in a few years I may need to borrow a chainsaw

Hi hob, really nice collection you have there, I don't know if you are going to the summer meet near Gloucester? but if you are there is a gentleman who specialises in cacti and is well known, his name escapes me at the moment. I can tell you where he lives by pm though if your interested? Such a nice and extensive collection, well done
My tropical night flowering cactus is flowering tonight and I thought you might like to see it as the flowers are really big as can be seen where I am holding a foot rule next to one

Quiet on here recently so a little off topic stuff to pass the time.
Well the spring weather and the passing of the worst of the frost heralds the big spring move from winter quarters to the greenhouses for the non hardy plants.
Outside for a drink
