2019 Pricelist published - some big jumps

It’s that time of the year prices are published for the upcoming year and there are some really big jumps this year. There will always be increases, often inflation, but this year there are some larger than inflation.

There doesn’t appear to be any spec or design changes this year compared to the 2018 build.

Comparing to last years price list:

Every eriba is around £1000 more
Every option has had a minimum of £10 added, some much more
GT pack is £90 more
Delivery is £995 (I think that’s a coupe of hundred quid jump?)
Some extras have much bigger jump - the autonomy package (the leisure battery) has a £240 jump to £720

We bought a new Troll 530 2018 Troll in May. If we bought the same spec today it’s would be around £1700 to £1900 more

2019 prices

Presumably partially the effect of currency rate changes and maybe some hedging over the effects that March 2019 might bring e.g. longer time on delivery trips, increase in import bureaucracy, maybe tariffs to pay, no longer a single market.

Bad and a less bad side to this.

Bad side is that it will surely drive more people out of the price range, and they will possibly end up with less expensive BWBs. But this will also have the effect then of reducing the number of nearly new Eribas for people to buy. I guess that would mean that our Eriba "gang" would shrink in numbers which would be a shame.

On the less bad, more selfish side , those of us who are getting on a bit and whose caravaning years are not stretching ahead to infinity, may find that they have a more valuable asset to sell to pay for our care home fees.MikeT

I wouldn't mind 'shrinking' a bit
