My 2006 Troll needs the wheel bearings checking and greasing . I've taken the wheels off but cannot see how to get at the bearings? Any advice out there?!?

They should be a sealed for life bearing. The nut that needs to come off is a "one shot" ie use once and then throw away.I think they are about £20 each.

agree more likely to be sealed for life, for 2006,
the nut in middle removes hub from the axle, but that nut needs to be renewed, and torqued,
you may need to adjust brakes off to take the brake drum off,
not knowing your skill set or tools you have,
would suggest a caravan person, do this for you.

I agree with Pop540 above. You would need a 3/4" torque wrench to set the one shot nuts due to the high torque setting required.

One Shot Nuts.. ..
I intend bring our Eriba to a Trailer Specialist next March to have all of the running gear inspected / serviced. This chap has his own company near my homeplace and specialises in farm trailers / Horse Boxes etc. He has an excellent reputation. He works on Ifor Williams / Al-ko trailers etc. and my question is: for routine maintenance / full brake inspection / will he need to remove and replace the " One Shot Nuts" , should I have a pair of nuts at the ready ..so to speak.. or are they only required to remove complete hubs for in depth surgery ? We do not have an Eriba Agent here so given this mans experience and reputation, I would rather he inspects the bottom half .

Part of the running gear service is to inspect the brake linings. The "one shot" centre nut needs to be undone to achieve this. Therefore your service person will need two new nuts. One might assume that as he is experienced in servicing trailers he should already have a stock of theses parts.

The nuts are for sale on-line for about £3.50 each.

Seems to be a price differential on the "one shot nuts" From £20 to £3.50 ?
