I am reluctantly selling my 1982 Eriba Puck. She’s in excellent original vintage condition, and has been kept under a cover for most of the four years I have had her. She is very light, and a dream to tow (even with a small car,) without the need for extension mirrors. I can move her with one hand on a level surface. She comes with a large awning that doubles the useable space and can be put up without the sides as a sun canopy. The awning is more recent than the Puck, and although not the most beautiful, is good quality and would have been expensive when new. I will be really sorry to see her go, but I am not using her enough since purchasing a camping converter for my van, so it seems right that she should go to a new home to be loved and used.
Outside: This Puck has a dimpled finish, with a metal gas locker, in a cream and brown finish. There are a few dings commensurate with age, but nothing major. The orange daisies are easily removed if you don’t like them. I made a mini awning/cover for the rear window, which you are welcome to have, too. The original double glazed plastic windows are all in good condition, with no cracks. The tyres have only done a few hundred miles, and have a year’s life left before they will need replacing. There is a spare wheel. The Al-ko hitch and jockey wheel are all original. The roof is a little faded and there are some small surface marks here, but nothing affecting the structure of the caravan. The Calor gas hose has just been replaced. The underside has been well maintained and has no soft spots. The awning is grey with a pastel colour trim. I managed to put this up on my own several times, without the original instructions, without too much trouble. (You may be able to find some instructions online nowadays). The lock to the gas bottle was missing when I bought it, so it’s been replaced. However please note this doesn’t quite lock, so it won’t stop someone stealing your gas bottle should they want to do so! There is still some gas in the bottle, but I’m not sure how much.
Inside: Original orange and brown upholstery and sprung units still in place, and in excellent condition. There is no sign of damp. The net curtains are also original. I made some other curtains, for privacy, which again you are welcome to have – but it would be easy to replace these with something else if you wanted to. There is space under the seats for storage and the original table is in place. (This is easily removed and can be attached to a rail outside if you want some alfresco dining.) The seats convert into a comfy double bed with the use of some rails. Headlining is in excellent condition. The pop-up top is a bit faded, but it is otherwise fine - the mosquito nets and zips all work as they should. There is a wardrobe with a mirror, storage lockers and cupboards, a three-way fridge, (which was in good working order last time it was used,) and a water bottle with pump that feeds the tap that works via batteries. (ditto) It also has the usual stainless steel 2-ring gas cooker, and original lights. There is a steel sink – I’ve never been fully confident about the leak proof qualities of the waste pipe, although this was newly replaced when I bought it - you may want to give this some further attention. (I just used a washing up bowl instead!) EHU cable included. When I bought her there were a couple of very ugly, flimsy plastic shelves (non-original) that had been glued to the inside door. I removed these and instead made a pair of fabric pockets for storage, which are far more useful. These are attached with heavy duty Velcro so can easily be removed if preferred, though the plastic on the door was damaged by the glue so will need attention. The casing on the door lock is cracked but this doesn’t affect the lock at all.
I will also include a breathable cover, but please note this is a generic caravan cover and not one made to fit a Puck. It’s way too big, so has to be tied around it, (a bit like a parcel), but it has kept the worst of the weather off the exterior.
Apologies for odd placement of photos in this post, I’m working from my iPhone.
