You may all already know this, I'm not internet savvy so don't always find out about things until later.
I've just been warned about a video launching tomorrow on WhatsApp. It's called Martinelli. According to a friend of mine it is a virus that will permanently damage your phone. DO NOT open this video. Also do not update to WhatsApp Gold.
If she is wrong about this then it won't happen and we're no worse off.

OK so it appears that once again I'm well behind with the news. This is an old scam but best be vigilant anyway.

In general never click on a link in an email and always run a virus check on any downloaded file.

Good advice, the problem I find is as someone who is not at all internet (or computer) savvy I tend to not understand the messages that pop up. My response is varied, normally I don't do anything as I dont know what I should do. Just occasionally I think "Oh I should do that". Know where you are coming from Bryn, I inherited my smartphone from my (then) 9yr old grandson. I have a rough idea how it works but sometimes it completely bamboozles me. So far there has always been someone around who understands the blasted thing, yesterday it was a very nice man at the railway station ticket sales who showed me what to do to get online. One of these days I may learn how to use it properly.

Brynn you should try embracing a little bit of modern technology. It's really quite fun.....that's why gazillions of people do it lol it actually makes your life easier.
