Hello,
My name is Eddie and my wife is Siny.
I am French, we live in France in the Poitou region, near Poitiers. In our small town, lot of English people have a second home for their holidays, or live there permanently. We have an Eriba Troll 535, since one month. Before, we had a 320 but we wanted to move to a bigger one. And we are very satisfied with this model, the heating and the hot water.
It is my third Eriba, as I first had a 530 with 2 dinette in the 1995 years.
We already drove in the past years with our Eriba to Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Austria and Germany.
Never to the UK, as it seems to me to be much difficult. Drive left, etc.
But this time we decided to cross the channel and to come and visit your beautiful country.
I come on this forum to try to get some help and useful information.
Thank you.
Eddie

Welcome and I hope you do manage to come over to us. I must admit your roads are good to drive on, it's just that ours tend to be busier. Swapping over to driving on the left should not cause you a problem so don't worry.
As Randa says, let us know when you plan to come over and I'm sure you will get lots of advice on places to visit and stay.

Thank you Randa. We do not know yet.
It could be in March or in September. But we will try to do it this year.

That is very kind of you, thank you. We discovered Brittany this week (we are just now coming back).
We spent the week on the Pointe de Raz, camping "Entre pierres et mer" in Pont-Croix.
It is a nice place and we never came there before.
Brittany Ferry advises us to take the ferry in Ouistream and to Portsmouth.
But we didn't decide anything yet.
We will very probably be in Poitou for Easter. If you are coming our way please contact us before.

Hi
We live near La Rochefoucauld and travel to the UK , Caen to Portsmouth, easy trip and from Portsmouth easy to get anywhere. Dont worry about the driving we find it difficult when we go back but only because of the amount of traffic, just take your time and it will be fine.
We travel to Stratford upon Avon usually and there are some beautiful places to see so go for it and good luck

Thank you Brian & Val,
I see that we live not far from each other.
Yes, I thought also take the ferry from Ouistreham to Portsmouth.
I need to define a trip for a two weeks of time, with not too much to drive, and nice places to visit. I know there are plenty...
I have been to London many times in the past for my work, by plane or with the Eurostar. But I never visited anything else than London.
