Hi Ray

I checked the kador strip, and no water came from that area. It's interesting that different vans seem to experience different problems here; mine is a 2003 Triton 420.
I did wonder whether it was possible to clip wooden wedges into the awning rail that could force the strip back to create the small extra tension needed in the sagging roof. Or clipping on a roof strap and leading it back through the pop top side screen ventilator. Unfortunately, I can't put up the awning where the van is stored to try these out.

Ray,

I had planned to set the vertical pole in the centre of the horizontal pole using the plastic "T" piece connector, assuming that the rubber suction cup at the van end will keep that end in place.

The difficult bit is getting the outer end of the horizontal pole to remain in place against the "hoop" of the awning. If not then I may have to think again...
